New Links

I've added a couple a new links, most notably my friend Courtney's creative blog. She is super talented... check it out- it's going to have awesome stuff on it!

Embroidered Shirts

Woo hoo! I'm finally being crafty again. Here is the latest project- embroidered shirts. I did a little onesie for D for 4th of July since she didn't have anything red or blue.

The next is a white T for I. Hopefully you can tell it's supposed to be a drum set.

Projects in process

Part of the reason why I don't blog much here is because I never have finished projects to show... I always have at least half a dozen things going, and it takes me FOREVER to finish. So I thought I'd throw these up because who knows when I'll get back to them.
Here's some letters I'm working on for the kids' doors. I like how they came out, but I'm just not sure how I want to attach them to each other or the doors. They just might sit on my desk until we have another kid.

This is a pillow that I'm embroidering... just kind of making up a little pattern as I go.

simple skirt

Here's a skirt I whipped up for Delia. I had some scraps of hot pink terry cloth laying around (who doesn't?) After this little project I decided I should actually learn how to sew elastic into things instead of just making it up. The result was OK, though. It fits her and she can move around in it. She can move around so much that I got about 100 blurry pictures of her in it. Below is about as good as it got.

Mother's Day card

Here is a Mother's Day card I thought I could "throw together." It doesn't look very complicated, but cutting out the birds took me longer than I thought it would. I added a white border after I took this picture that made it look a little more finished.

birthday cards

Here are a couple of birthday cards I made recently. I really like the cupcake card- I had the idea in the middle of the night- to accordion fold vellum to look like a muffin liner for a cupcake. The next day I saw that exact thing in a card in a bookstore. Oh well, I guess it wasn't a late night brilliant brainstorm after all!
